Days 1 & 2: Basra – Arrival, Cultural Heart & Marshlands
Day 1:
Arrive at Basra International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our professional guide.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a city tour visiting Basra Museum and Al-Hasoon Museum, highlighting the region’s rich history.
Stroll through the historic Shanasheel houses, famous for their wooden balconies and traditional architecture.
Overnight in Basra.
Day 2:
Visit the UNESCO-listed Mesopotamian Marshlands, one of Iraq’s most unique ecosystems.
Experience traditional boat rides through the marshes and witness the local life of the Marsh Arabs.
Enjoy a sunset with a traditional Masgouf fish meal, grilled around a wood fire.
Continue to Basra for a relaxing boat ride along the Shatt Al-Arab, offering scenic views of palm trees and waterways.
Overnight in Nasiriyah.
Days 3 & 4: Nasiriyah – Najaf – Karbala & Babylon – Baghdad
Day 3:
Visit the Ziggurat of Ur, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Mesopotamia.
Continue to Najaf, where you will visit the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and explore Wadi Al-Salam Cemetery, the largest cemetery in the world.
Head to Karbala to visit the sacred shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas, two of the most significant spiritual landmarks in Islam.

Day 4:
Begin the day with a visit to Al-Ukhaider Fortress, a remarkable example of early Islamic military architecture.
Visit Al-Uqayser Church, reflecting Iraq’s diverse religious heritage.
Continue to Babylon, the legendary city once at the center of the ancient world.
Visit the Lion of Babylon, Ishtar Gate, and the panoramic remains of Saddam’s Palace overlooking the ruins.

Days 5 & 6: Baghdad City Tour & Samarra – Hatra – Mosul
Day 5:
Explore the National Museum of Iraq, showcasing the greatest civilizations of Mesopotamia.
Stroll along Rashid Street and Al-Mutanabbi Street, the vibrant cultural and literary heart of Baghdad.
Visit Tahrir Square, Firdos Square, and Martyr’s Monument, reflecting the city’s modern history.
Overnight in Baghdad.
Day 6:
Drive to Samarra to visit the Al-Malwiya Spiral Minaret and the Great Mosque of Samarra, masterpieces of Abbasid architecture.
Continue north to Hatra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the ancient desert kingdom that blends Eastern and Western influences.
Overnight in Mosul.
Days 7 & 8: Mosul – Erbil & Departure
Day 7:
Enjoy an early morning city tour of Mosul, exploring the city’s historical and cultural revival.
Drive to Erbil, where you will visit the Erbil Citadel, one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the world.
Enjoy free time for shopping at the local bazaar and take photos near the city fountain.
Overnight in Erbil.
Day 8:
After checking out, you will be transferred to Erbil International Airport for your departure.
