Days 1 & 2: Arrival in Baghdad & Baghdad City Tour
Day 1:
Upon arrival at Baghdad International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by our professional guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in.
Begin the tour with a panoramic visit through Tahrir Square and Firdos Square, both symbolic landmarks reflecting Baghdad’s modern history. The visit continues to the Martyr’s Monument, an iconic architectural masterpiece dedicated to Iraq’s national memory.
End the day at the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrines, where the golden domes and spiritual atmosphere offer a deeply moving introduction to Iraq’s religious heritage.
Day 2:
day 2 starts with the Ziggurat of Aqar Quf, one of Iraq’s most impressive and well-preserved ancient monuments Dating back to the Kassite period and then the iraqi national museum. Explore Baghdad’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage with a visit to the National Museum of Iraq, home to extraordinary artifacts from Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian civilizations.
Stroll along Al-Rashid Street, one of Baghdad’s oldest streets, and reach Al-Mutanabbi Street, known for its book markets, artists, and lively cafés.
Enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Tigris River for scenic views of the city.
Visit the Abbasid Palace and Al-Mustansiriya School, two remarkable examples of medieval Islamic architecture.
Days 3 & 4: Baghdad – Babylon – Karbala & Najaf
Day 3:
Travel south to the legendary city of Babylon, once one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. Explore the ruins, including the famous Lion of Babylon, and visit the nearby palace for panoramic views of the historic landscape.Continue to Karbala to visit the magnificent shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas, two of the most sacred sites in Islamic history.
Overnight in Karbala.
Day 4:
Visit Al-Ukhaidir Fortress, a remarkable example of early Islamic desert architecture.
Stop by Al-Uqayser Church, a rare Christian heritage site in Iraq.Continue to Najaf to visit the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, one of the holiest places in Islam, famous for its golden dome.
Explore Wadi Al-Salam Cemetery, the largest cemetery in the world and a site of great religious and historical importance.Return to Karbala for an overnight stay.
Days 5 & 6: Karbala – Marshlands (Nasiriyah) & Ziggurat of Ur – Basra
Day 5:
Head towards Nasiriyah and the southern Marshlands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Experience traditional marsh life by gliding through waterways surrounded by reed houses and wildlife.Enjoy a traditional meal of Masgouf, freshly grilled fish prepared in the authentic Marsh Arab style.Overnight in Nasiriyah.
Day 6:
Visit the Great Ziggurat of Ur, one of Mesopotamia’s most important monuments.
Continue to Basra, Iraq’s southern port city.Walk along the Basra Corniche, followed by a boat ride offering views of the Persian Gulf and the famous Italian Bridge.Explore the Shanasheel district, known for its traditional wooden houses and distinctive architectural style.
Overnight in Basra.
Days 7 & 8: Basra – Baghdad – Samarra – Hatra – Mosul
Day 7:
After breakfast, return to Baghdad and enjoy a free afternoon to relax or optionally visit a modern district of the city for a stylish café experience.
Overnight in Baghdad.
Day 8:
Travel to Samarra to visit the Great Mosque of Samarra and the iconic Malwiya Minaret, famous for its unique spiral design.
Continue to Nineveh and visit Hatra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that blends Roman, Parthian, and Eastern architectural influences.
End the day in Mosul, with an overnight stay.
Days 9 & 10: Mosul – Erbil & Departure
Day 9:
Start the day with a city tour of Mosul, learning about the city’s historic significance and its ongoing revival.Continue to Erbil, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Visit the Erbil Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that reflects thousands of years of history.
Enjoy free time to explore the nearby bazaar, enjoy shopping, or take photos around the central fountain area.
Overnight in Erbil.
Day 10:
Check out from your hotel and head to Erbil International Airport for your departure.
