Days 1 & 2: Arrival in Erbil – Ancient Citadel, Cultural Heart & Mosul – Hatra
Day 1:
Arrive at Erbil International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by our professional guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in.
Start with a visit to the Erbil Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world. Explore its ancient alleys, historic houses, and panoramic viewpoints.
Later, stroll through the bustling Erbil bazaar, experiencing local culture and shopping opportunities.
Overnight in Erbil.
Day 2:
Depart Erbil and drive to Mosul for a morning city tour, discovering the city’s historical landmarks and its ongoing cultural revival.
Continue to Hatra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an ancient desert kingdom showcasing a unique blend of Roman, Parthian, and Eastern architectural influences.
Overnight in Mosul.
Days 3 & 4: Mosul – Samarra – Baghdad City Tour
Day 3:
Travel south to Samarra to admire the Al-Malwiya Spiral Minaret and the Great Mosque of Samarra, masterpieces of Abbasid architecture.
Continue to Baghdad and visit the Imam Al-Kadhim Shrine.
Overnight in Baghdad.
Day 4:
Discover Baghdad’s cultural treasures starting with the National Museum of Iraq, home to priceless Mesopotamian artifacts.
Stroll along Rashid Street and Al-Mutanabbi Street, the literary and cultural hub of the city.
Visit Tahrir Square, Firdos Square, and the Martyr’s Monument, reflecting Iraq’s modern history.

Days 5 & 6: Baghdad – Karbala & Najaf – Nasiriyah
Day 5:
Depart Baghdad to visit Babylon, exploring the legendary city, the Lion of Babylon, Ishtar Gate, and the ruins of Saddam’s Palace.
Continue to Karbala to see the sacred shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas, two of the most important spiritual landmarks in Islam.

Day 6:
Begin the day with a visit to Al-Ukhaider Fortress, a remarkable example of early Islamic military architecture.
Visit Al-Uqayser Church, reflecting Iraq’s diverse religious heritage.
Continue to Najaf to visit the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and explore Wadi Al-Salam Cemetery, the largest cemetery in the world.
Later, visit the Ziggurat of Ur, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Mesopotamia.

Days 7 & 8: Nasiriyah – Basra & Departure
Day 7:
Visit the Mesopotamian Marshlands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll experience traditional boat rides and observe local life.
Enjoy a sunset meal featuring Masgouf, the traditional grilled fish of the Marsh Arabs.
Travel to Basra for a relaxing boat ride along the Shatt Al-Arab and explore the historic Shanasheel district.

Day 8:
After check-out, enjoy free time or last-minute shopping before your transfer to Basra International Airport for your departure.
